My Story
I’m Isis Kenney, a Creative Director and Designer with a unique blend of art, advocacy, and strategic communication. Growing up in Poughkeepsie, New York, in a home enriched by education, African traditional fine art, jazz, R&B, and African textiles, I was immersed in creativity from an early age. These influences shaped my artistic foundation and continue to inspire my work.

My passion for both design and storytelling led me to earn a degree in Visual Communications, with further studies at the School of Visual Arts in New York, deepening my creative skills.

My career began in advocacy, working with organizations like PSI Cobra Case Management and the Partnership for the Homeless. It was during this time that I recognized a significant gap in visual communication resources for community advocates. This realization sparked my passion for combining design with social justice, as I saw firsthand how art could amplify important messages and reach wider audiences.

This journey led to the creation of Hip Hop Fine Art, a distinctive artistic style dedicated to preserving the history and culture of Hip Hop. Through this platform, I address social justice issues, challenge societal norms, and spark important conversations.

The work I do in both design and art is deeply interconnected. Whether I'm designing marketing campaigns for businesses and nonprofits or creating art, my goal is to use visual communication to inspire dialogue and drive meaningful change.
